Blue and Gold Banquet tonight--Matthew's first. Father's and son's were to decorate cakes for a little friendly competition tonight. Russ' cake won first. He really did all the decorating by himself! I baked the cakes and made the frosting to save time, but he did all the rest. Matthew of course, was too busy playing Harry Potter with Ethan to help his dad make the cake. But he didn't mind standing up there getting the credit. Oh well, it's good for him to have some positive attention once in awhile!
The cake is a model of the Pinewood Derby racetrack, with cars on it that read 1910 and 2010, since this is the 100th year anniversary of Boy Scouting in America.
